Commonly referred to as first fix timber, carcassing timber may or may not be seen but nevertheless forms an integral part of any building’s construction. Carcassing treated timber is mainly used in structural applications such as roof joist, floor joist, framing studwork and wall partitioning.
C24 timber has been graded to a higher standard than C16. It is a premium piece of timber that can handle higher loads and wider spans.
C24 grade can only be achieved by importing timber from areas where the climate forces a slower growth rate and hence a tighter grain.
An easier to handle, quality machined, kiln dried, construction timber with a green, high pressure preservative finish, smooth, eased edge.
Dimensional accuracy, correct grade and preservative treatment are all important considerations when selecting the right timber for your project.
