Preparation
All surfaces should be clean, dry and free from grease. Remove any crazed or flaking paint. Rub down with fine waterproof abrasive paper and rinse thoroughly. Avoid the inhalation of dust. Wear a suitable face mask if dry sanding. Special precautions should be taken during surface preparation of pre 1960s paint surfaces over wood and metal as they may contain harmful lead. Please note this product will not prevent stains caused by water damage unless the fault has been eradicated, and the substrate allowed to dry.
Application
Stir well before use. Apply by brush or roller, covering the stain and a surrounding area of 20cm to ensure maximum containment. Heavily soiled areas may require additional coats. Allow 2-4 hours under normal conditions between coats.
Cleaning
Remove as much product as possible from application equipment before cleaning. Clean equipment immediately after use with White Spirit or Brush Cleaner. Replace lid firmly after use. Some local authorities have special facilities for disposal of waste coatings. Do not empty product into drains or watercourses.
