Smart Matt

Leyland Trade Smart Matt emulsion is specially formulated to avoid brush and roller marks when painting interior walls and ceilings. This feature also applies to touching up damaged areas, avoiding the need to repaint the whole area again, ensuring a professional flat matt finish is achieved with every application.

Coverage

1 litre will cover up to 12 square metres, depending on the nature and porosity of the surface. When using more than one tin of a colour in the same room, intermix before use.

Transportation and storage

STORE AWAY FROM HEAT AND FLAME.

To avoid the risk of spillage, always store and transport in a secure upright position.

Lift with care - gross weight does not exceed 4 kilograms (2.5L), (8 kilograms 5L).

Preparation

Ensure surface to be painted is sound, clean, dry and free from grease. Remove all loose and defective paint. Rub down previously painted surfaces with fine waterproof abrasive paper to provide a good key. Avoid the inhalation of dust. Wear a suitable face mask if dry sanding. Prime where required with the appropriate Leyland Trade primer.

Application

Suitable for application by brush, roller or spray. Ensure good ventilation during application and drying. Do not breathe spray. Wear respiratory protection. Stir well before use. Seal absorbent surfaces with a coat of Leyland Trade Smart Matt, thinned using clean water, 1 part water to 9 parts Leyland Trade Smart Matt. Spray application may also require the same dilution. Two coats are normally required for durability and obliteration. Further coats may be required over strong contrasting colours. Allow 4 hours between coats. Do not apply when air or surface temperature is below 10ºC. Conditions of high humidity can prolong the drying times.

Cleaning

Remove as much product as possible from application equipment before cleaning. Clean equipment immediately after use in warm, soapy water and rinse thoroughly. Some local authorities have special facilities for disposal of waste coatings. Do not empty product into drains or watercourses. Replace lid firmly.
