Damp Block
A waterproofing undercoat that is able to mask both water stains and damp patches. Suitable for over coating with wallpaper, tiles or any emulsion paint from the Leyland Trade range for a choice of finish and colour.

1 litre will cover between approximately 8 and 12 square metres depending on the nature and porosity of the surface being painted.
Drying time
Touch-dry: approx. 6 hours. Between coats: approx. 12 hours. The drying time on some surfaces during the winter season may be longer.

Transportation and storage
STORE AWAY FROM HEAT AND FLAME.
To avoid the risk of spillage, always store and transport in a secure upright position. Lift with care - gross weight does not exceed 4 kilograms.
Preparation
All surfaces to be painted must be clean, sound and free from dust. Can be applied to damp but not dripping walls. Remove all loose and defective paint. Brush, scrape and/or remove dust from the surface. Examine all old surfaces prior to application in order to determine the nature of the preparation required.
On dry rough plaster or similar surfaces: Brush and remove dust from the surface.
On very damp rough plaster or similar surfaces: Seal first with a single coat, do not thin.
On porous or powdery surfaces: Stabilise surfaces of a highly porous or friable nature with a Leyland Trade Stabilising Damp Treatment as directed.
On old surfaces or damaged paintwork: Rub down or strip and remove all loose and flaking material then examine the surface prior to application in order to determine the nature of the preparation required.
Application
Stir well before use. Apply evenly by brush or roller and avoid overspreading.
Please note: A temperature of > 10ºC and a relative humidity of < 80% is necessary for optimal drying.
Cleaning
Remove as much product as possible from application equipment before cleaning. Replace lid firmly. Clean equipment immediately after use with warm soapy water and rinse thoroughly. Some local authorities have special facilities for the disposal of waste coatings. Do not empty product into drains or watercourses.
