Leyland Trade Anti-Damp Paint Brilliant White 5L

Anti-Damp Paint

Decorates and protects the surface, providing excellent coverage. Formulated using acrylic resins, it is suitable for use on all types of wall surfaces including cellars. If water stains are particularly prominent, it is recommended you use Leyland Damp Block before use.

Drying time

Touch-dry: approx. 2 hours. Between coats: approx. 6 hours. The drying time on some surfaces during the winter season may be longer.

Transportation and storage

PROTECT FROM FROST.

To avoid the risk of spillage, always store and transport in a secure upright position. Lift with care - gross weight does not exceed 4 kilograms. (2.5L) (8kg for 5L). Do not use empty container for storing food.

Preparation

All surfaces to be painted must be clean and free from grease. Can be applied to damp but not dripping wet surfaces. Brush or scrape to remove any dust from the surface. Remove any moss, algae or mould using an appropriate fungicidal wash. Examine all old surfaces prior to application in order to determine the nature of the preparation required.

On very damp rough plaster or similar surfaces:  First treat with Leyland Trade Stabilising Damp Treatment as directed.

On porous or powdery surfaces: Seal with a solution of Leyland Trade Anti-Damp Paint diluted with no more than 5% water.

On old surfaces or damaged paintwork: Remove all loose and flaking material then examine the surface prior to application in order to determine the nature of the preparation required. Fill any cracks with an appropriate filler.

Application

Stir well before use. Apply paint evenly by brush or roller and avoid overspreading. If required apply a second coat after 6 hours.

Cleaning

Remove as much product as possible from application equipment before cleaning. Replace lid firmly. Clean equipment immediately after use with warm soapy water and rinse thoroughly. Some local authorities have special facilities for the disposal of waste coatings. Do not empty product into drains  or watercourses.
