Hardiebacker Cement Board 12mm x 800 x 1200

HardieBacker (sometimes referred to as Hardibacker) cement board is made of 90% Portland cement, sand and cellulose and is the number one water-resistant tile board in the UK. Unlike plasterboard, chipboard or plywood backing boards, HardieBacker cement board is perfectly fit for installation in bathrooms, wet rooms, kitchens, basements and other damp applications.

Tiled surfaces are not necessarily waterproof. If the sublayer contains paper or gypsum (as in standard plasterboard) and gets wet, mold will form. As Hardiebacker contains neither paper or gypsum, the ability for mold to form is greatly reduced.

Installation is simple. As the strongest and most durable cement board available, it's also easily cut. It's composition means it doesn't scratch the porcelain and enamel surfaces. Pre-drilling is not necessary.

Hardiebacker board is also marked with gridlines (EZ-Grid) to make tile application even simpler.

With a very high compression resistance HardieBacker can carry the weight of large tiles easily.
